Barefoot & wild….summer fun!

Children barefoot and racing through sprinklers can be very inviting for pups to want to engage in a game of chase.   It is best to allow your dog “kid free” cool spaces while your little ones enjoy the outdoor fun.  Offer a frozen goodie that will last your dog some time while the kids play around.

Remember swings, slides and other play equipment can get dogs very excited when you add a giggling & wiggling kid.  If you choose to bring your dog to a playground it is ideal to have one adult who is the designated dog support while the other watches and keeps up with the kids.

Tip:  Baseball hats, bike helmets and sunglasses can change the appearance of even familiar children and adults.  Be mindful of your dog and their sensitivities to these things.
