Lisa Bert, CPDT-KA, KPA CTP

Hi! I am Lisa Bert, owner of Fingers and Paws Dog Training, and I have been a proud and active member of Family Paws Parent Education since 2012. I have enjoyed training dogs and coaching people for over two decades. I graduated from Karen Pryor Academy and became a Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) in 2011, then moved on to achieve my CPDT-KA from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers in 2013 (KA means Knowledge Assessed). Once out on my own, I made it the core of my business to support families with dogs that have or are expecting children, plus grandparents who have their own dogs too!

My passion for helping other parents and grandparents comes from my own experience. I have never forgotten the challenges of juggling the needs of my own pups, two growing children, and a hard-working husband often away from home – not to mention volunteering and working! I draw on that experience and empathy with every client. My goal is to guide clients and their dogs to achieve skills and develop predictable routines that prioritize safety while bringing comfort and helping calm the daily chaos of family life. In-person services are available north and west of Boston, MA. Remote services are available as well.
